Welcome to Student Legal Services (SLS) of Edmonton!
We are a non-profit charitable organization of over 250 volunteer law students from the University of Alberta providing free legal information and assistance to the poverty community in the Edmonton area.

We are composed of four projects:
1. Civil & Family Law,
2. Criminal Law,
3. Pro Bono Students of Canada
4. Legal Education and Reform.

Our services include:

• representing qualifying individuals before: 1) The Provincial Court of Alberta (Civil, Criminal and Traffic Divisions) 2) Administrative Tribunals (WCB, EI, academic appeals, etc)
• providing legal information and assistance to individuals at several poverty centres in Edmonton,
• assisting individuals with their uncontested divorces,
• offering lectures and conducting mock trials to schools and other community groups,
 • conducting legal research and drafting for non-profit organizations.

If you have a legal problem and cannot afford a lawyer, or are interested in one of our other services, please contact us by phone, e-mail or attend one of our offices.
