Management of SLS
Student Legal Services is overseen by a twelve member Board of Directors. The majority of the members of the Board are former SLS volunteers who are now praticing lawyers or students-at-law. Four members of the Board are directly elected by SLS volunteers.
The day-to-day operation of SLS is supervised by a student Management Committee, elected annually by and from SLS volunteers. The Management Committee is made up of the following seven positions:
- Executive Coordinator
- Civil Law Project Coordinator
- Family Law Project Coordinator
- Two Criminal Law Project Coordinators
- Legal Education and Reform Project Coordinator
- Pro Bono Students Canada Project Coordinator
Volunteer caseworkers are advised and supervised by our advising lawyers.
Office and bookkeeping duties are handled by our Administrator, who also supervises our two administrative staff members.
