Pro Bono Students Canada - Project Objectives
For students:
- To instill and develop a pro bono work ethic that will transition into one's professional legal career
- To instill a sense of community by helping Edmonton's impoverished
- To strengthen your education as a law student by providing experience and practical legal research and writing skills
- To allow students to network with organizations and lawyers around the city of Edmonton
For Community Organizations:
- To provide non profit and public interest organizations with free access to legal information that they would otherwise be unable to receive
- To provide organizations with highly skilled and committed volunteers
For Lawyers:
- To provide guidance and assistance to student volunteers on pro bono files
- To provide an opportunity for lawyers to contribute to the impoverished community throughout Edmonton
